about

“They Don’t Know” is a powerful and blatant message of anger, frustration, and pain over a soulful backdrop.
Truth is a harsh thing to face sometimes, but desperately important, especially in a world that too often turns a blind eye to it.
This is a raw, but poetic dose of truth and reality from fed-up black people living in this world, addressed to those who don’t, and can’t possibly know.

“They Don’t Know” is the first single off of their upcoming "PROclaiMAYtion " EP on Waasawki Music Group.

lyrics

Ahmuad, Breonna & George just the tipping point
They not the provocateurs for why these cities now destroyed
We still annoyed there still is a void from the killing of Emit Till
Regardless of the empathy you show
You would never know how feels
To have an Open casket funeral for ya child that’s been mutilated by a racist mob for the world to see
And the strength in that is superhuman
And they don’t know the suffrage they put upon us made us stronger
Keep it assuming it would ruin us
Seems to me it’s foolish cause
We’ve turned the cheek and forgave
But today’s the day we’ve had enough
400 plus years enslaved
Jim Crow laws we’ve faced
Yell slurs in our face
racism that’s overt
The whole world
observed it all along and
When we got mad
To combat that
We marched and
Grabbed signs and aligned
while y’all spit on us
Now we setting y’all biz
Niss-is in flames
Y’all want peaceful marches
Can’t tell us how to express our pain
Let’s play a game let’s call it roles reversed
Let’s say we shackled you
Kidnap you slash ya backs with whips like Masters do
Rape ya women, sell ya children
Feed you scraps from cows and pigs
Make you pick batches of cotton till the tips of fingers bled
Switch the God you served
Condemn you from educating yourself
Set you free but set up roadblocks
To stop you from gaining wealth
And when you do we get jealous and bomb your whole town
Drafted for you wars fight alongside you
But when ya home
Watch how
We get treated like American heroes
Like we did all the work
Well that’s absurd we was there with chu
Instead of thank ya for ya service
Once again ya was just shown you’re just
Considered _______& you isn’t given full privileges in this
land we love
you helped build up and nurtured
But it hurts you Cause it shows you
it don’t love you but loves everything that you do
for it
don’t wanna play no more
How you feel?
Is how we feel everyday in Amerikkka with 3 K’s
Home of the brave
Who had us Africans enslaved
We persevered & overcame
Every obstacle that we faced
The 13th amendment today promotes new slavery
One of many reasons why you still caging me
Still making pay off me

Don’t pretend like you don’t know
